The city was awarded a $1-million grant to repair sewer lines in the downtown area, said Huntington Beach Public Works Director Robert Beardsley. The grant, secured from the Environmental Protection Agency, requires the city to put up matching funds. Exactly how much that will be hasn’t been determined yet. Part of the matching funds may come from the Orange County Sanitation District, he said.
