Ethics Panel Unveils Web Site

Want to know if a certain Los Angeles City Council member accepted a contribution from a city contractor, or how much the mayor raises for pet ballot measures?
Campaign finance information can now be accessed over the Internet, thanks to a new, Web-based program unveiled Thursday by the Los Angeles Ethics Commission.
The database can be reached at www.lacity.org/ETH and will provide users with the ability to download campaign finance reports, political officeholder fund reports and legal defense fund reports filed by the mayor, city controller, city attorney and City Council members as well as candidates for those offices.
