FOOTBALL : Orange Coast College fullback Jimmie Banks has committed to play at USC next year, Pirate Coach Mike Taylor said. : Banks, 6 feet and 250 pounds, rushed for 663 yards this season, averaging six per carry. He also had seven touchdowns and caught eight passes for 85 yards.

Edison’s Lachelle Manzano said she has committed to play soccer at UC Irvine.
Manzano, a three-year starter for Edison, has been selected first-team All-Sunset League the last two years and is a member of the Irvine Strikers club team.
