2 Forest Roads Closed for Season
Two roads in the Ojai Ranger District are now closed to vehicles for the winter season and will be reopened in the spring.
Pine Mountain Road and Cherry Creek Road in Los Padres National Forest have been closed forsafety reasons during the rainy season.
Pine Mountain Road, which closes annually, intersects California 33 about 35 miles north of Ojai, near the Kern County border.
It provides access to a popular playing area on Pine Mountain.
Cherry Creek Road intersects California 33 just south of Pine Mountain Inn and leads to a popular target shooting area.
The roads have been closed because vehicles could become stuck in the mud or slide off the road.
Foot traffic and cross-country skiers are welcome.
For more information on closures, call the Ojai Ranger District at 646-4348.
