The City Council is slated to vote Tuesday on a draft of a General Plan that will affect the future of land development in the city.
The plan, which has been 18 months in the works, is an update to the city’s 1974 General Plan.
The updated plan is intended as a guide for property use and development decisions for the 21st century. It establishes goals and policies related to housing, traffic, public safety, noise and flood plain management.
The council will consider changes to the plan that include provisions to provide affordable housing for low-income families and seniors.
The City Council meets at 7 p.m. in council chambers at City Hall, 32400 Paseo Adelanto.
