Woman, 72, Dies in Car Accident

LANCASTER — Anita Agasang, 72, of Lancaster was killed in a car accident Saturday at the intersection of Avenue I and 20th Street West, authorities said.
Agasang was a passenger in a car driven by her husband, Jesus Agasang, 76, said Deputy Kenneth Saylor of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Lancaster station.
The couple’s car was turning left when it was struck by an oncoming pickup truck, which had the right of way, Saylor said.
Jesus Agasang was treated for fractured ribs at Northridge Hospital Medical Center and the pickup driver, James Bolander, 37, of Lancaster was unhurt, Saylor said.
