Camp for Kids

* Camp Max Straus is a rural mountain retreat that helps children with physical and emotional disabilities. Lee Gregg’s Oakmont View V project (“Plan for Homes Near Glendale Youth Camp Sparks Debate,” Nov. 26), will ruin the idyllic setting of this camp that has treated many thousands of at-risk children.

The needs of deprived children are more important than mansions for millionaires. I nominate Gregg for an Ebenezer Scrooge award this Christmas season.

Scrooge, as you will recall, cared more for lucre than he did for Tiny Tim.
