LECTURE AND FESTIVAL: Skirball Cultural Center will hold two weekend events. Tom Freudenheim, of the Judisches Museum in Berlin, will lecture on “The Jews of Berlin: Yesterday and Today” at 2 p.m. today. A Hanukkah festival with live music, sing-alongs, storytelling and art projects will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Both events are $8; members and children 12 and younger are free. HANUKKAH CELEBRATIONS: Congregation Beth Knesset Bamidbar, 1611 E. Ave. J, Lancaster, will celebrate Hanukkah with two free activities this week. CHRISTMAS PAGEANT: Our Redeemer and Canoga Park Lutheran churches will present their annual Christmas pageant “Star of Wonder” from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and Dec. 11, and 5 to 7 p.m. Dec. 12 at Our Redeemer, 8520 Winnetka Ave., Winnetka. SHABBAT AND HANUKKAH: A service celebrating Shabbat and Hanukkah will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at Kol Tikvah Temple, 20400 Ventura Blvd., Woodland Hills. The service will include the lighting of the menorah on the eighth night of Hanukkah. Free. Information: (818) 348-0670.
