* PEPPERDINE (3-1) at No. 6 KANSAS (4-0), 5 PST: Kansas is averaging 95 points a game, and six players each average nine or more points. The Jayhawks, who jumped from 10th to sixth in national polls after winning the Great Alaska Shootout, have a significant height advantage over the Waves. Kansas outrebounds opponents, 48.8 to 30.5. Pepperdine lost the opener of its Sparkletts Invitational on Saturday to North Carolina Charlotte, 80-74, then defeated Colorado State, 67-57, in the consolation game. Center Nick Sheppard scored 32 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in the two games. Guard Brandon Armstrong leads the Waves with a 13.8 scoring average, and forward Kelvin Gibbs averages 11 points and 9.8 rebounds. Kansas defeated Pepperdine, 62-55, last season in the John Wooden Classic.
