Oak Park Comes Out Ahead of Westlake

Tamir Lahav headed in a free kick from Ben Crouse and Oak Park High beat Westlake, 2-1, on Wednesday at Oak Park.
Lahav’s score, which developed from 35 yards out, gave the Eagles (1-1) a 2-0 lead at halftime.
D.J. Evans gave Oak Park a 1-0 lead early, scoring on a breakaway pass from Doug Prior.
Ronnie Onsgard scored for Westlake (0-1).
In other boys’ games:
Monroe 2, Granada Hills 0--Danny Corrales scored on a breakaway from 20 yards early in the second half to snap a scoreless tie for the Vikings at Granada Hills.
Oscar Galicia took a centering pass from Tony Llerenas and scored on a header for Monroe later in the half.
Hart 6, Fillmore 1--Jose Ochoa and Adam Barrios each scored two goals for the Indians at Fillmore.
Sophomore Mike Caso had a goal and three assists for Hart.
Paraclete 8, Desert 0--Daniel Diaz scored three goals and the Spirits did not allow a shot on goal in an opener at Lancaster Soccer Complex.
Matt Hickman and Mike Miscione each had two assists for Paraclete.
Oxnard 4, St. Bonaventure 1--Edgar Almarez scored seven minutes into the second half to break a 1-1 tie for the Yellowjackets at Oxnard.
St. Bonaventure is 0-2.
Quartz Hill 4, Ridgecrest Burroughs 0--Paul Carter had two goals and one assist for the Rebels (1-1) at Quartz Hill.
Littlerock 4, Rosamond 0--Leonard Griffin and Carlos Ribera each scored two goals for the Lobos in an opener at Rosamond.
GIRLS’ GAMES
La Reina 1, Royal 0--Monica Thompson scored on a breakaway in the 77th minute after the Highlanders turned the ball over in their defensive end in an opener at La Reina.
Taft 1, Eagle Rock 0--Freshman Jennifer Ahern broke a scoreless tie 10 minutes into the second half of an opener at Eagle Rock.
