This is the best you guys can get in response to Howard Rosenberg’s elephant article (Letters, Aug. 7)? Two humaniacs and one person who’s actually had contact with animals.
Hard to resist Bea Arthur, wasn’t it? Here’s someone with a lot of firsthand experience with circus animals, for sure. Her facts are straight out of the PETA handbook. Is she their new spokesperson? Whatever, we love her idea that animals have to choose their relationships with us. I hope she is a vegan, because there is certainly no animal that has chosen to become her dinner or shoes. Hope she doesn’t wait for the aphids to volunteer to leave her roses.
Well, it is hard to resist these celebrities, they really are such experts on so many things and such logical thinkers to boot. We wonder who will be the next humaniac spokesperson. Charlie McCarthy?

Thanks to the July 31 letters, I discovered a great Web page: Zero24-7 Web Radio in Washington. Great alternative music and a great talk show.
The Internet is amazing. Anyone can own a radio station, TV station, newspaper photography shop, record store, etc. For years I tried to own my own radio station. Now, as I get close to 80, my dreams have come: I own the Cybercloud radio station, https://www.cybercloud.com.
