2 Grand Marshals Chosen for Parade

KVTA-AM (1520) morning radio personalities Dave Ciniero and Bob Adams have been named the grand marshals of the 1999 Ventura County Fair Parade.

The Seaside Park board of directors selected the pair during its regular monthly meeting this month, said Virginia Weber, board president.

“Their enthusiasm is a gift they give to the fair and to the community,” Weber said.

For several years, Ciniero and Adams, a team of radio personalities in Ventura County for 14 years, have broadcast their show from the livestock area on Junior Livestock Auction Day and regularly interviewed fair representatives.

The fair’s parade will be held Aug. 7 in downtown Ventura.

The theme of this year’s fair, which will run Aug. 4-15, is “Reflections of Yesterday.”
