The nation’s first 65-foot semi-submersible submarine will debut as a tourist attraction next month at Santa Catalina Island, but Anaheim residents can get the first view of the vessel Friday when it leaves the manufacturing plant on North Grove Street at noon. Engineers and crews at Willard Marine Inc. have worked on the vessel for 11 months. It features underwater viewing access and fish feeding systems, said Loretta Harmish, contract administrator for the company. Information: (714) 666-2150.
