Coming Up Short

Dear Mr. Cariaga:

In your review of “Daughter of the Regiment,” you made a comment about the height of two of the singers. (“Opera Pacific Finds Little Joy in ‘Regiment,’ ” by Daniel Cariaga, April 8). May I be so bold as to remind you that being short is something that no one can do anything about?

However, being “small” is, and you, sir, have shown with your review that you are a small person. Perhaps you can work on that, as I am confident that there is room for growth.
