The city is sponsoring a community art contest to commemorate the 150th anniversary of California’s statehood. Students in the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District are being urged to submit their artwork. To receive an entry form, call Adrienne Gladson at (714) 993-8124. Once an entry form has been filled out, artwork can be dropped off from 4 to 7 p.m. on May 7, 14 and 21 or from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on May 8, 15 and 22 at the Civic Center’s Community Room, 401 E. Chapman Ave.
