Aranka Klein wants to bring the experience of concentration camp prisoners to life Sunday when she reads an original poem at a synagogue’s memorial to Holocaust victims. The Laguna Woods resident is one of 20 members of Laguna Hills-based Temple Judea who will participate in the Yom Ha Shoah Observance, the memorial to honor the dead and encourage ongoing awareness of those who perished. The commemoration service begins at 2 p.m. at Temple Judea’s Jack & Florence Berlin Sanctuary, 24512 Moulton Parkway. Information: (949) 830-0470.
