City Manager Aide to Lead Hispanic Network

* Julie Hernandez, assistant to the city manager of Santa Paula, was elected president of the International City/County Management Assn.’s Hispanic Network for 1998-1999. Hernandez will preside over a 16-member board of directors who manage local governments throughout the county.
Ventura Lions Club Receives Chamber Award
* Ventura Downtown Lions Club has been awarded the 1998 Ventura Chamber of Commerce Poinsettia Award for Service Organizations. The award recognizes a service organization that has demonstrated “outstanding community involvement.”
