REDONDO BEACH — Paul Connelly, city manager of Redondo Beach, announced Wednesday that he will resign his post at the end of July.
Connelly, who has served as city manager since July 1997, did not explain his reasons for stepping down.
Mayor Greg Hill praised Connelly’s 28 years of service to the city, including stints as chief of planning, economic development manager and acting harbor director.
Hill credited Connelly for his role in preparation of the city’s first strategic plan, major upgrades in the city’s computer system and a program to engage the public in the city’s decision-making processes.
