Two La Habra High School staff members have been chosen as employees of the year and will enter competition to receive recognition as the Fullerton Joint Union High School District’s employee of the year. Guidance counselor Jo Garcia, who has worked in the district for 12 years, was named teacher of the year. Administrative secretary Teresa Gaona, who’s been with the district for 20 years, was named classified employee of the year. The district will announce its final selections this month.
