GOLETA--Lemon groves have flourished in this section of Santa Barbara County for decades. Next weekend, Oct. 17 and 18, Goleta celebrates the latest crop with the Lemon Festival, including baking and lemon-pie-eating contests, arts and crafts, children’s activities and a farmer’s market. SAN DIEGO--Colorful works of art will cover the Broadway Pier next weekend, Oct. 17 and 18, for the Paint the Bay street festival.
