ENCINO — A fire destroyed a barn filled with 100 golf carts at a city-owned golf course in Sepulveda Dam Recreation Area, according to Los Angeles firefighters.
The Thursday night fire caused $100,000 damage to the one-story, 5,000-square-foot structure and $400,000 to the building’s contents, fire spokesman Bob Collis said.
The blaze, which began at about 8 p.m. at the golf cart shed at Woodley Pro Golf Shop and Range, was extinguished in a half-hour by six engine companies, Collis said.
No one was injured during the blaze.
The cause of the fire was under investigation, Collis said.
