Big West Women’s Soccer Team Named

UC Irvine’s Nicole Bucciarelli and Stephanie Rigamat and Cal State Fullerton’s Dolores Browning were named first-team All-Big West Conference in women’s soccer.

Irvine’s Kirsten Roy and Michelle Perez were named to the second team. Fullerton’s Amy Barnes and Kelly Bogan also were named to the second team.

Ocean View basketball Coach Jim Harris has been named president of the Southern California Interscholastic Basketball Coaches Assn.

Also on the executive board of the group are past-president Rainer Wulf of Trabuco Hills, Greg Coombs of Century and Marc Hill of Esperanza.

The association’s activities include coaching clinics, a spring showcase for college recruiters and a summer basketball tournament for boys and girls.

Susan Churchwell, a pitcher at El Toro High, signed a letter of intent to play softball with UC Davis, her father said. Churchill was a first team All Sea View selection her junior year.
