San Fernando 35, Birmingham 31--Larry Brown of San Fernando rushed for three touchdowns and passed for two more, including the game-winner on a 25-yard completion to Jason Edmond with 3:34 to play at Birmingham.
Edmond’s diving reception and Jason Tubbs’ point-after kick completed a comeback from a 10-point fourth-quarter deficit.
Brown scored on runs of two, 23 and two yards and connected with Bobby Stanley for a 22-yard touchdown pass play, which cut Birmingham’s lead to 31-28 with eight minutes to play. Brown completed 11 of 13 passes for 229 yards.
Howard Jones led Birmingham (1-9, 0-7) by rushing for 168 yards and two touchdowns in 21 carries.
Major Caldwell rushed for 170 yards in 26 carries for San Fernando (6-4, 3-5). Edmond caught five passes for 139 yards.
