A shooting involving Los Angeles police officers in Lincoln Heights left a man slightly wounded and in custody, police said Monday.
Patrolling officers heard gunshots Sunday evening near Avenue 22 and Broadway and saw a man with a gun, said Los Angeles Police Sgt. Tony Silva of the Hollenbeck station.
When the officers demanded the suspect drop the gun, he allegedly pointed it at them and shots were exchanged, Silva said.
No officers were injured in the exchange, police said. The suspect was grazed by a bullet. The name of the man, who suffered a minor injury, was not released.
