Patrick Warburton is Puddy on NBC’s “Seinfeld.”
Kids Night Out: My wife Cathy and I have a 3-year-old daughter, Lexi, and a 5-year-old boy, Talon, and they pretty much rule our world. Usually we end up going out to kid-friendly places for dinner. We like Chevys because they give you paper place mats with crayons, and you don’t have to worry about the kids running around.
Film Tastes: If we get a baby-sitter, maybe my wife and I will have time to go out for dinner and a movie on a Friday night. I’m not the kind of guy who runs out to see the latest action flick. It has to be something interesting or a really good comedy.
A Fish Out of Water: I enjoy taking the kids fishing to Troutdale, where there are stock ponds of trout. Talon caught a fish the last time, but instead of reeling it in, he turned inland and ran.
In Bed: We have always kept the open-door policy with our kids, so they usually crawl in bed with us around 4 or 5 a.m. When I wake up,I find myself at the edge of the bed.
Peace and Quiet: Lately we have been trying to get to church on Sundays. We had taken a bit of a sabbatical because our kids were really young. Back then, with all the crying, we’d leave Mass with less peace than when we went.
Home Improvements: I recently built a natural river rock wall in front of my house in Calabasas, which required moving five or six tons of rock. My friend Justin helps me with all of these projects because he’s in construction, so he kind of has an open invitation for dinner at our house.
