Information on summer camps specializing in everything from science to soccer to excursions to Australia will be available at two upcoming events sponsored by the local chapter of the American Camping Assn.
Camp Fair ‘98, attended by representatives of more than 60 summer camps, will provide parents and children information about the activities and programs available, said association spokesman Steve Siegel.
The camps cater to children from preschool age to high school. They include day, overnight and travel programs with a wide range of prices and activities.
Many of the camps also have paying or volunteer job openings, Siegel said.
The first fair will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Willow Elementary School, 29026 Laro Drive, at the corner of Kanan Road, Agoura Hills.
The second fair will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Balboa Sports Center, 17015 Burbank Blvd., Encino.
