Closely held Merv Griffin Hotels has acquired the Givenchy Hotel and Spa in Palm Springs from proprietor Rose Narva for an undisclosed price. The hotel, which opened in 1995, was ranked among the top 10 spa resorts in the 1997 Conde Nast Traveler’s “Readers Choice” poll. Narva will have a continuing role at the hotel, said a Merv Griffin spokesman. Beverly Hills-based Merv Griffin Hotels owns several other resort hotels, including the Beverly Hilton.
