TALK ABOUT RUDE GUESTS

Spain, already in trouble after losing to Nigeria in its opening match, has now done exactly the wrong thing to win over the French fans.
Instead of availing itself of France’s larders and wine cellars, the Spanish team has sent home for provisions.
“We have found that we could not get the quality of products that we are used to in Spain,” said the team’s Basque chef, Javier Abrizu.
On Monday, a truckload of goods arrived from Spain that included 360 bottles of red wine, 240 bottles of white wine, 1,000 bottles of beer and a case of orujo, a powerful, herb-based spirit.
The latter, no doubt is for Coach Javier Clemente and his assistants in case the team plays as poorly in its second match, against Paraguay in Saint-Etienne on Friday.
