Lancaster Wins on Cruz’s Double in the Ninth, 3-2

Cirilo Cruz Jr.’s two-run double in the ninth inning lifted Lancaster to a 3-2 victory over High Desert on Friday night at the Hangar.
Cruz has 100 runs batted in, most in the California League.

Center fielder Kadir Villalona misplayed a wind-blown fly ball in the ninth, allowing two runs to score, and the Suns lost to the Tri-City Posse, 5-4, in Pasco, Wash.
Ernie Nunez, Frank Valdez and Britton Schiebe hit home runs for the Suns (11-22).
