Ducks Hire Burnett as Assistant Coach

The Mighty Ducks hired former Edmonton Oiler Coach George Burnett as an assistant on Craig Hartsburg’s staff.
Burnett, 36, was coach of the Guelph Storm of the Ontario Hockey League last season, leading the team to a 42-18-6 record and the OHL championship. He spent part of 1994-95 season as coach of the Oilers, compiling a 12-20-3 record.
Burnett joins Newell Brown, who was hired Aug. 12, as an assistant to Hartsburg.
