Rodarte’s Homer Keys Win Over Vigilantes

Raul Rodarte’s two-run home run, his 19th of the season, tied Mission Viejo’s Alan Burke for the Western Baseball League lead and helped Reno to a 7-3 victory over the Vigilantes Wednesday at Saddleback College.
Rodarte, from Fountain Valley, had four hits and three runs batted in for the Chukars (13-12). The Vigilantes (11-14) got sixth-inning RBIs from Phil Kernan, Kevin Tahan and Robert Muro.
Reno scored two in the fourth inning and three in the fifth off Kirk Irvine (4-6).
