In-Line Skaters Organize Night Trek Through City

A group of in-line skaters has started a bimonthly Friday night skate that follows a 9-mile route through the city.
The route, which takes about two hours to complete, begins and ends at the Santa Monica Pier, said organizer Rhonda Slanbaum. “It’s a chance for people to socialize and get exercise,” she said.
Interested skaters should meet tonight at 8 at Colorado and Ocean avenues.
