* San Ramon-based Tri Valley Growers, a food cooperative owned by more than 500 fruit and vegetable growers, said that its chairman, James Cooley, and president and chief executive, Joseph Famalette, have resigned and that a trio of vice presidents were appointed to oversee daily operations. The management changes follow an announcement that the cooperative will post a loss of $79 million for fiscal 1998, primarily due to write-downs of old inventory.
