2 Officers Fired After Probe of Sex With Minors

Two La Verne police officers have been fired after an investigation into allegations that they engaged in sexual relations with underage girls.
Officers Troy Allen and Brian Ongley had been placed on administrative leave in March when the district attorney’s office began a probe into whether they engaged in sex with the minors while off duty.
In May, the district attorney decided there was insufficient evidence to press criminal charges, but a city investigation concluded the officers’ conduct warranted their termination.
Ongley joined the department in 1995 after moving up from the reserves. Allen is a former Los Angeles police officer who began working in La Verne in 1994. Their attorneys were not available for comment Wednesday.
