Santa Ana-based Amplicon Inc., which rents and sells computers and related equipment, said net income climbed 17% in the fiscal fourth quarter while revenue dropped 15%.
Net income for the three months ended June 30 totaled $5.4 million, or 44 cents a share, up from the $4.6 million, or 38 cents a share, a year ago. Revenue declined to $69.7 million from $82.3 million.
The company had warned last month that lagging equipment sales and loss of new business would depress revenue for the quarter.
Net earnings for the year were up 22% to $19.2 million, or $1.55 a share, from $15.7 million, or $1.31 a share, for the prior year. Revenue increased 5% to $313.8 million from $299.9 million.
