Traffic Signals
We hear about road rage while the government spends billions on the Metropolitan Transportation Authority tunnel boondoggle. Freeways and roads are almost at a standstill during rush hours and other times as well. Getting traffic moving is actually relatively simple and inexpensive, but our politicians say it is too expensive and difficult. What is the answer? Traffic signals synchronized to allow a smooth 30 mph flow through the main arteries of town. Doesn’t this sound a lot better than going for a block, waiting for the light, going for a block, waiting for the light? Such a system is not only plausible, doable, workable, but absolutely necessary. Politicians who say we don’t have the money are betraying us, causing further road rage deaths and zillions of lost man hours as we sit wasting away at traffic signals.
