Birmingham High School’s mascot committee on Tuesday will recommend “Patriots” to replace “Braves” at a school-based management meeting. The Van Nuys school has until June 28 to replace its logo. Students voted for “Blue Devils” but were overruled. “The committee didn’t think Blue Devils was appropriate for this school,” Birmingham Principal Gerald Kleinman said.
