Sunstone Hotel Investors Inc.: The San Clemente real estate investment trust, which owns hotels in the Western United States, said net income doubled for the first quarter as revenue more than tripled. The company earned $6.6 million, or 17 cents a share, for the first three months, up from $3.3 million, or 22 cents a share on fewer shares of stock outstanding, for the first quarter a year ago. Revenue climbed to $23.7 million from $7.8 million.
