Bernal to Replace Hermo as Municipal Court Judge

Margaret Miller Bernal, a Whittier Municipal Court commissioner, has been named a Municipal Court judge, replacing Alfonso Hermo, who retired March 31 after 30 years on the bench.

Bernal, 40, a graduate of Loyola Law School, has been a commissioner since November 1992. She was a partner with Miller, Bernal & Angevine, a law firm in Whittier, before being appointed a commissioner.
