Interpore International: The Irvine manufacturer of synthetic bone graft materials reported that net income for the first quarter more than tripled to $840,000, or 11 cents a share, from $259,000, or 4 cents a share, for the first quarter of 1997. Sales declined 21% to $3.7 million from $4.7 million. The company said the 1997 first quarter revenue figure included $1.4 million from the dental implant business, which was sold in May 1997.
