Events Calendar Debuts on Municipal Web Site

Santa Monica has introduced an interactive calendar on its city Web site to publicize events sponsored by the city and private groups in Santa Monica.
The public may submit information directly to the calendar, including text, graphics, sounds and video clips, at https://pen.ci.santa-monica.ca.us.
“We believe it will facilitate event planning in both the government and in the community,” said Keith Kurtz, the project’s manager.
The calendar replaces an event listing site that had been posted by PEN (the Public Electronic Network) since 1989.
People without access to the Web may send event listings to Community Events Calendar, Santa Monica Webmaster, P.O. Box 2200, Santa Monica, CA 90407-2200. Notices must include time, date, location, sponsor and fee (not to exceed $50). Commercial advertising is not accepted.
