Firm Pays $7.45 Million for Solder Station-One

SANTA ANA — Heartland Technology Inc. said Wednesday it acquired Solder Station-One Inc. of Santa Ana for about $7.45 million in cash and notes.
Solder Station-One provides soldering services to circuit makers. It posted 1997 pretax earnings of $1.87 million on sales of about $8.1 million.
Chicago-based Heartland is a maker of electronics assemblies for computer and computer printer manufacturers. Heartland recorded 1997 net income of $2 million on sales of $15.1 million.
