Third-Period Goal Beats Ice Dogs

SALT LAKE CITY — Greg Spenrath scored his 12th goal of the season at 6:31 of the third period to give the Utah Grizzlies a 2-1 victory over the Ice Dogs on Friday night.

The loss was the second in a row for the Ice Dogs, who got a power-play goal from Patrik Augusta at 8:52 of the first period for a 1-1 tie.

Utah’s Mark Lawrence had opened the scoring with a goal at 5:15 of the first period, and Grizzlies’ goalie Mark Macarthur stopped 28 of 29 Ice Dog shots.
