Trail of Suspect in Clinic Blast ‘Cold’

Two months after a fatal abortion clinic bombing in Alabama, the government has no clue of the whereabouts of suspect Eric Robert Rudolph, a senior FBI official said. The trail “is pretty cold,” the official, who declined to be identified, said when asked about efforts to locate Rudolph, 31, of Murphy, N.C., one month after a $100,000 reward was offered for his arrest. Rudolph is wanted in connection with a Jan. 29 bombing at a Birmingham clinic that killed an off-duty police officer and seriously injured a nurse.
