I would like to express the following thoughts in memory of [the late Oxnard educator] Dr. Roberto Serros.
Dr. Serros always had many stories to share about his personal experiences in teaching and politics. His passion for a better education for all students led me to reexamine my commitment to the field of education. He gave me some of his energy and wisdom to continue my personal struggle to make schools meaningful to our students.
Dr. Serros had knowledge, perspective and a true love of life. I will always remember and admire the mutual respect we shared.
