Walk on Saturday to Benefit Charities
Two charities will host the Walk Out of Poverty at Mile Square Regional Park on Saturday.
The event will benefit Concern America, a nonprofit organization that supports international programs such as refugee relief, and Taller San Jose, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping young adults complete school.
The event is not a race. Rather, participants walk together.
Walkers are expected to find sponsors who will help them raise between $50 and $100 for the charities.
The walk begins at Holy Spirit Parish, 1720 Ward St., at 9 a.m., and continues around the park’s perimeter.
