Extension Series Offers Sneak Peak at Movies

“Coming Attractions,” a series previewing first-run films and featuring critic and author Joseph McBride as host, will begin next month, sponsored by UCI Extension.
The six-week series will show the movies on or before their release dates. Each program will feature an interview by McBride with one or more of those involved in making the film.
Screenings and guests for the previous series included “Shine,” with actor Armin Mueller-Stahl; and “Bullets Over Broadway,” with actor Joe Viterelli.
The films will be shown at 7 p.m. Mondays, Oct. 13 through Nov. 17, at the Edwards University Theater, 4245 Campus Drive. The cost for the series is $125. The identity of neither the film nor the guest is revealed until the night of the screening.
