Sylmar 38, North Hollywood 7--Shaun Avalos caught three touchdown passes for Sylmar in a game at North Hollywood.
Avalos scored on receptions of 70, 13 and three yards. He finished with four catches for 93 yards.
Joey LaPorte and Noah Albison, who alternated every quarter, combined to complete 11 of 20 passes for 217 yards. LaPorte tossed a pair of touchdown passes to Avalos, and Albison completed scoring tosses to Avalos and Errol Bowen.
Bowen also rushed for 119 yards in 10 carries. Donald Carpenter added 110 yards in 19 carries, as Sylmar (5-1, 3-0) piled up 468 yards--251 rushing.
The Spartans, who won their 56th consecutive conference victory, held North Hollywood (1-5, 1-2) to minus-six yards.
