A Sherman Oaks man has pleaded not guilty to murder charges in the death of a woman who last month was stabbed more than 50 times.
Travis Bone, 20, was charged with murder in connection with the death of Cindy Fry, a Van Nuys woman killed Sept. 21 in her home in the 6200 block of Mary Ellen Avenue.
“It probably started as an argument,” Los Angeles Police Det. Jim Rahm said, “but for whatever reason, it really got out of hand.”
Fry, 30, the mother of an 8-year-old who lives with relatives in Northern California, was seeing a man whose sister was Bone’s girlfriend, police said. Fry’s body was discovered in the living room of the residence.
Following Monday’s not-guilty plea, Bone, who is being held at the Los Angeles County Men’s Central Jail, had his bail doubled to $1 million from $500,000, authorities said.
