African American Advice on Travel
A new glossy quarterly magazine, Pathfinders Travel, is giving tips to African American travelers.
Complaining that leading travel publications cater mostly to European Americans, and that general African American magazines devote little space to travel, editors of the Philadelphia-based magazine hope to carve out a niche. Their second 50-page issue (fall-winter 1997) describes some African American-owned B&Bs; in the U.S.; tells how to avoid getting bilked on African American art; and profiles San Diego and Nantucket, among other articles.
